NRM GENERAL SECRETARY DENIES ALLURING LOCAL MUSICIANS WITH MONEY TO JOIN NRM.

NRM Secretariat Kasule Lumumba has refuted allegations of luring local musicians with money to join NRM party. These allegations have rooted from a turn of events where different musicians like Khalifa Aganaga and Ronald Mayinja turned their backs against their former parties and went ahead to join the NRM.

In August, well known singer Ronald Mayinja dropped his own party Peace for All and joined NUP. Surprisingly, nearing the Presidential Campaigns he has released a new song [Akalulu Kako] praising President Museveni and confirming his loyalty to the NRM Party.

This ignited allegations from the public and political domain saying that the NRM party is using its financial competence to get political strong holds to its camp.

However, while launching the NRM toll free call center, NRM General Secretary has said that these allegations are aiming at tarnishing the party's name. She said that NRM never contacted Ronald Mayinja to join the party but he used his legal right and made his decision to join NRM.
